Our diving and the Dos Ojos System...
In terms of SCUBA diving, the dimension of an underground river system is related to the length of “life lines” or guide lines that are placed permanently in the overhead zones by the original explorers of those systems.
These lines give the size to a system. On the area between the south of Tulum and Playa del Carmen there are more than 500 miles (700 kilometers) of these lines in more than 50 systems, within the ones we have the 15 world’s largest. The number of entrances or cenotes is countless.
Our main activity is the diving known as cavern and cave; that is the reason why our “headquarters” is located in the heart of the cave and cenote main area. We are at the Mayan community zone known as Ejido Jacinto Pat, very close to the little tourist village of Akumal and 15 kilometers (10 miles) north of Tulum.
Under the land of Ejido Jacinto Pat we find most of the lines of two of the three world’s largest systems: the internationally famous Dos Ojos System and the enormous Sac Aktun System. We are on the front door. We are the “house guides”.
