Cavern diving We have dives for all kind of divers. The difference between a cavern dive and a cave dive is that the first one can be performed by divers with an open water certification, basic, one star or any equivalent of first level, which means, by certified recreational divers. These dives are performed in very friendly zones of the underground river system, at a maximum distance of 200 feet (60 meters) from an exit or a place where you can breath at and having at sight a source of natural light; also we don’t go to restricted places, though international rules state that in any part of the tour two divers must be able to pass next to each other on a comfortable way. Also we give all the precise instructions to the divers that are going to participate, in terms of behavior with the guide lines, the importance of the neutral buoyancy control, the communications with the lamps and the specific management of the air supply for this kind of dives. The divers also get general information of the dive site and of the area. We never exceed the maximum size of a group according to international rules for this kind of diving: 4 divers per guide.
Gear for cavern diving
In cavern dives the participants may use the normal gear of the open water diving, except for the snorkel. Each diver uses one lamp at least. The guide must be fully equipped and qualified as a technical full cave diver. He or she must use double tank rig, primary high intensity light besides two backups, safety reel, etc.
