Cave Diving courses

The course to get certified as a Full Cave Diver has four stages and to be able to start with it, the diver needs to be certified at least as an Advanced Open Water Diver, two stars or second level, also has to have at least 50 logged dives.

Stages:

  1. Cavern. It takes from 2 to 3 days. It can be performed with single tank rig or doubles, depending on the level that the diver is looking forward to get. The dive limits are the ones known as cavern limits, which are 200 feet (60 meters) from an exit and always with the sight of a natural light source.

  2. Intro to Cave. It takes from 2 to 3 days. It is performed with double tanks. In some cases with a single tank rig, but with some modifications. This stage does not involve complicated navigation in the cave and the penetration is limited to a third of the air pressure of one tank or a sixth of a set of doubles.

  3. Full Cave, apprentice. It takes another 2 to 3 days and it involves the remaining skills to perform complex navigation in the cave. The limits are now extended to a penetration of a third of the pressure of a set of double tanks.

  4. Full Cave Diver. It takes again another 2 to 3 days. The real starting point for the wonderful world of the cave diving.

The full course requires the performance of a minimum of 15 cavern and cave dives, besides a written exam.

* We have instruction available in Spanish, English and German.

The price of the course varies between 1,200 and 1,600 US dollars for the four stages, depending on the size of the group (from 1 to 3 students), dates and seasons.
